It’s spring 2017, and it’s my pleasure to record this brand new start on this page, using the warmth of the texts to encourage each other. Are you talking about the new media and the Internet today? For me following trends is just another form of being outdated. The new media has taken the young onto the road of success. I have the pleasure of digging deep into what I truly feel passionate about, and realize my dreams in common practice.
The best gift in modern days is that success can be so many things, and there are no more rights and wrongs. It’s an era of choices, each choice is given a special meaning. Do what you think is right, stick to it and this is already enough to light up the whole world. We have been publishing BranD for 5 years now. Our passion for paper, ink and printed matters is by no means nostalgic or sentimental. There are a lot of people who keep working hard, instead of dreaming hard, on what they love. Their curiosity and persistence in their career and dream life has driven them to create their own world.
In this issue we are honoured to have invited 14 design studios from around the globe to talk about their curiosity—the one thing that keeps us exploring. It’s my pleasure to turn this new page of 2017.
