Japanese designer Masaaki Hiromura (Aichi, 1954) has been the owner and creative leader of Hiromura Design office for many years.
His team of 9 designers has won many awards over the last few decades. He is well known for creating the Kitasenju pictograms; Kanji letters mixed with illustrations.
This project is featured in the book. By choosing various other projects this studio has created over the years as examples, the author tries to explain exactly what the titles states; “what design can do and what design should do”.
